Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 4, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how datingwebreview.com (“we”, “us”, “our site”) collects, uses, and shares information about visitors, and what rights you have over your data under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable privacy laws.

Who we are

datingwebreview.com is an independently operated website.

Our website address is: https://datingwebreview.com.

If you have any question about this policy or about your data, you can contact us at: info@datingwebreview.com.

What personal data we collect and why

Analytics (Google Analytics)

We use Google Analytics (GA4), accessed through the Site Kit by Google plugin, to understand how visitors use this site — for example, which pages are viewed, how long visitors stay, which country or device they’re using, and which site referred them to us. This helps us improve the content and structure of the site.

Google Analytics collects data such as your IP address (which may be shortened or anonymized depending on configuration), browser type, device type, approximate location, and pages visited, through cookies and similar technologies. This data is processed by Google LLC, which may transfer data to the United States. Google provides standard contractual clauses as a safeguard for this transfer. You can read Google’s own privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

Data collected through Google Analytics is retained in line with Google’s own default retention settings for GA4 properties, after which it is automatically deleted. You can find and adjust this setting under Admin > Data Settings > Data Retention in Google Analytics.

Legal basis: your consent, collected via the cookie banner shown when you first visit the site, before analytics cookies are set. You can withdraw consent at any time by adjusting your cookie choice in that banner, or through your browser’s cookie settings.

Comments

If you leave a comment on the site, we collect the data shown in the comment form (name, email, comment text), along with your IP address and browser user agent string, to help with spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (called a hash) may be sent to the Gravatar service to check whether you use it. Gravatar’s privacy policy is available at https://automattic.com/privacy/. After your comment is approved, your profile picture is visible publicly alongside your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the site (for example, in a comment or submission form, if enabled), avoid uploading images containing embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors to the site can download and extract location data from images hosted on the site.

Embedded content from other websites

Some articles on this site may include embedded content (such as videos or social media posts). Embedded content from other websites behaves exactly as if you had visited that other website directly. These sites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with the embedded content, including tracking your activity if you’re logged into an account on that site.

Cookies

We use cookies for the following purposes:

  • Essential cookies: required for basic site functionality, including remembering your cookie consent choice. These do not require consent.
  • Analytics cookies: set by Google Analytics to measure site usage, as described above. These are only set after you consent via the cookie banner shown on your first visit.
  • Comment cookies: if you leave a comment, you may opt in to saving your name, email, and website in a cookie so you don’t need to re-enter them next time. These last one year.
  • Login cookies: if you log in to the site (for administrative purposes), temporary and session cookies are used to keep you logged in and remember your display preferences. Login cookies last two days, or two weeks if you select “Remember Me.” Screen option cookies last one year.
  • Post-edit cookies: if you edit or publish an article, a cookie is saved indicating the post ID you edited. It contains no personal data and expires after one day.

You can manage or withdraw cookie consent at any time through the cookie banner, or through your browser’s cookie settings. Blocking cookies may affect how parts of the site function.

Who we share your data with

We share data with the following categories of third parties:

  • Google LLC, for website analytics (Google Analytics / Site Kit), as described above
  • Our hosting provider, Hostinger, which stores the site’s data and infrastructure
  • Spam detection services, to automatically check visitor comments
  • Authorities or third parties, where we are legally required to disclose data (for example, in response to a valid legal request)

If you request a password reset (for a registered account, if applicable), your IP address is included in the reset email for security purposes.

We do not sell your personal data.

How long we retain your data

  • Comments and their metadata are retained indefinitely, so that follow-up comments from the same person can be recognized and approved automatically rather than held for moderation.
  • Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics’ default retention settings, as described above.
  • If you register an account on this site (if applicable), we store the information in your profile until you request deletion or close your account. You can see, edit, or delete most of this information yourself, except your username.

Your rights under GDPR

If you are located in the EU/EEA or another jurisdiction with similar protections, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Request deletion (“right to be forgotten”) of your personal data, subject to legal or administrative exceptions
  • Request a copy of your data in a portable format
  • Object to or restrict certain processing, including analytics tracking
  • Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent (such as analytics cookies), without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority if you believe your data has been mishandled

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@datingwebreview.com. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

Children’s privacy

This site discusses and reviews adult dating platforms and is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, contact us at info@datingwebreview.com so we can remove it.

International data transfers

Some of the third parties we use, including Google, may process data outside the EU/EEA, including in the United States. Where this occurs, we rely on safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms recognized under GDPR.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example to reflect changes in the tools we use or in applicable law. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
